About the Course
Join us for a deep journey into the world of the drum. Learn and create a deep connection with the medicine of your drum as you weave and stretch the hide of your choice.
Rev. Madge leads ceremonies and drum circles, and is the keeper of ‘One Spirit’ community drum. She has been teaching the sacred art of drum making and keeping for many years.
She will guide you in the history and medicine of the drum along with guiding you in meditation to align your energies for the sacred art of drum making.
There are three animal spirits to choose from for the hide of your drum, Elk, Deer and Horse. Choose the energy that calls to you and if another animal spirit is calling out loudly let us know and we can see about offering it to you.
After a lunch break (BYOL) break you will learn to weave and stretch your drum with guidance and grounded patience.
